Walter Elias Disney was an American producer, cartoonist, producer, screenwritter and others. He is known for his amazing design. He worked with the animation industry, and charmed all the world's children. He became an internation icon and he made his dreams come true.
Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago. He always loved drawing and painting, so he decided to follow the career of arts studying art and photography on McKinley High School in Chicago.
After the graduation, Walt went to France to start a small company called "Laugh-O-Grams", which fell bankrupt. Then he went to Hollywood to try another company called "Alice Comedies", which gave him success. In this sa,e year, 1925, Walter married Lilian Bounds and had two girls, Diane snd Sharon.
With the success of Alice Comedies, in 1932 he produced Flowers and Trees, the first color cartoon, and he won an Academy Award. In 1937 he produed Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and he won enough money to start his real dream: The Walt Disney World.
He started The Walt Disney World with one of his first drawings: Mickey Mouse, one of the most famous. He started with television production in 1954, and in 1955 he finally opened the first theme park: Disneyland, in California.
Walt Disney is considered hero of the 20th Century, a legend. He is an exemple of imagination, optimism and creation. He died on December 15, 1966 in California, victim of cancer.
The Walt Disney World is one of the biggest and most famous company in the world. Today it has resorts, TV chanels, stores and the parks: Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Euro Disney in France, Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan and Hong Kong Disneyland.
